Emerging Generation for Solidarity and Social Impact
The NGO GESIS — Emerging Generation for Solidarity and Social Impact — is a national and international non-profit non-governmental organization.
Formerly named "Amical Sourou Denis AHISSOU" in 2020, GESIS formalized its commitment during its General Assembly on September 28, 2025 (law n° 2025-19 of the Republic of Benin).
A humanitarian, apolitical and non-denominational organization, its headquarters is established in the Village of Drogbo, Adjarra, in the Ouémé department in Benin.

Foundation — Amical Sourou Denis AHISSOU
Creation of the organization by a group of committed young people, driven by the conviction that youth is a lever for development.
Membership in Youth For Peace Benin
GESIS officially joins the national platform and integrates the Commission in charge of communication and advocacy.
Constituent General Assembly
Official adoption of the statutes and launch of GESIS (law n° 2025-19).
Festisol Ouémé
Active participation in the Festival of Solidarities and receipt of the certificate of recognition.
Expansion of activities
Digital peace campaign, electoral observation, Nature University, webinars and recruitment of volunteers.
Booming
Development of new projects and strengthening of partnerships in Benin and Africa.

Governance & Organization
GESIS has rigorous and transparent governance, defined by its statutes and internal regulations.
General Assembly
Supreme decision-making bodyComposed of all members up to date with their commitments. Meets in ordinary session once a year (January). Defines major orientations, approves reports and can modify statutes.
Board of Directors
Strategic and control bodyComposed of a President, a General Secretary, a General Treasurer and two advisory members. Renewable 5-year term. Defines strategies and controls the Executive Direction.
Auditors
Control and audit bodyComposed of two members. Verifies the regularity and sincerity of annual accounts, evaluates financial management procedures and formulates independent recommendations.
Executive Direction
Operational bodyEnsures daily management and execution of projects. Includes an Executive Director, an Administrative Manager, an Accountant, a Program Officer, a Communication Officer and a Partnership Officer.
